Certification Manager CITC, the educational trade association for the Canadian travel industry, is looking for an energetic, organized individual to head the Educational Standards division as Certification Manager. Ideally you are an experienced travel professional who has earned the industry credential CTC or CTM, or are very familiar with the certification process. Comfort in working in English and French would be a definite asset. You enjoy public speaking, and welcome the challenge of marketing ‘certification’ to professionals across the country. You will work out of the office in Toronto. Skills * Excellent interpersonal, listening skills and written and verbal communication skills * Ability to develop and maintain a broad network of external contacts * Demonstrated strategic thinking and planning skills * Management skills * Microsoft office, and presentation skills * Proven organizational skills Specific Duties * Manage the Education Standards Division * Ensure the current status of the Core Curriculum * Ensure that the occupational standards are revised regularly * Manage the Travel Program Endorsement process * Manage the travel-supplier based ‘Provider of Quality Education” program * Create information pieces for the industry * Coordinate/participate in conferences, trade shows and industry events * Represent CITC at CTHRC meetings |
